Dr. Mohan Lal KolheProfessor (Dr.) Mohan Lal Kolhe is with the University of Agder (Norway) as a full-time Professor in Electrical Power Engineering, with a focus on smart grids and renewable energy in the Faculty of Engineering and Science. He has also received an offer of a full professorship in smart grid from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). He has more than twenty-five years of international academic experience in electrical and renewable energy systems. He is a leading renewable energy technologist and has held academic positions at prestigious universities including University College London (UK/Australia), University of Dundee (UK), University of Jyväskylä (Finland), and the Hydrogen Research Institute, QC (Canada). He was a member of the Government of South Australia’s Renewable Energy Board (2009–2011) and contributed to renewable energy policy development. He also led the EU FP7 Smart Grid-ICT project “Scalable Energy Management Infrastructure for Household” as Technical Manager (2014–2017), involving 12 partners from four EU countries. His academic work spans smart grids, grid integration of renewable energy systems, home energy management systems, integrated renewable energy systems for hydrogen production, techno-economic analysis of energy systems, solar and wind energy engineering, and business models for distributed generation. |

He has successfully secured competitive research funding from prestigious research councils and has published extensively in the field of energy systems engineering. He has been invited by numerous international organizations to deliver expert lectures, keynote addresses, courses, and workshops. He has also served on several academic promotion committees. |
